It's Finally Here!
The news will have reached some of you already but we wanted to make sure that everyone knows, the Locals app is available for download.

You will notice the addition of a coin system on the Locals app. Locals coins is used as a type of currency on the app in order to support your creators. This is a route we had to take in order to satisfy Apple and Google store guidelines. We encourage members to support via web when possible, you will be able to access the app as a supporter if you've subscribed via the web already.

Hello Books Tour

I thought I'd offer up a book review. I have an enormous library, but alas, over 80% of it is non-fiction, and about half of that is of a technically specific nature. Is it better to be truly just, or merely to seem so? This is the question put to Socrates by Glaucon in The Republic. Jonathan Haidt, in his book, “The Righteous Mind”, counts Glaucon among the cynics for putting this challenge to Socrates. But Haidt is missing a subtle and very powerful nuance in Plato’s story. Socrates had just finished embarrassing Thrasymachus for his weak defense of cynical egoism. Glaucon and Adeimantus were certainly entertained, but they were not satisfied with Socrates.
